They said that in the U.S., the arrangement is completely contract-based and therefore the contract is very important. There are also some precedents in the U.S. regarding compensation for inventions due to contractual wording issues.

In Japan, instead of stipulating reasonable benefits in internal rules, it is necessary to fully consider the considerations in stipulating reasonable benefits before drafting internal rules.
